or build a plane from old bike frames . or timber ..two by four frame or ...some way simpler construction just crude wood and plyplates as wings , would it work , fun vid for youtube safer to remote control with man weight sandbag in seat. or old plane wings on old car drive till lifts no propeller.

every electric coil device usually needs to be protected from back EMF. Relays, soleniods, etc.

You need to get a cheese grater for the big parts to eliminate the large amount and then you can do it with the sanding board after especially with the two pound mix it’ll make your life easier.

I’m not sure about experimental installations. However, STC installation manuals for stereo phones or mic audio/key cables use a 3-wire shielded wire and the shield is grounded ONLY at the Audiopanel. DO NOT use the shield as an audio low/return or ground line. I also agree with using isolation washers on the phone and mic jacks. Some of my repairs with static on the headset are due to the lack of isolation washers and improper use of the audio return line.

Is there a part 2 to this? I don't see any link to a part 2 and I know others besides myself would like to see that video. You did a great job with this. Was there a cost savings doing it this way instead of using a telescoping antenna tower that has 3 or 4 sections and a hand or electric winch/hoist to raise and lower it?

Just be careful of the "system" you use as some of them don't hold up well to ethanol FREE Autogas. "I'll never use autofuel," you say, maybe not but all it takes it one accident & there goes the paint job or glue adhesion. Also many systems must have epoxy primers as the glues will lift over traditional varnish or different non epoxy paints. Look up the problems with this issue before making your choice. There are many sad & angry folks that found out the hard way. I know a couple of them, so research and read throughly.

I was hoping to use one as an oil pump for a small air cooled engine to run oil for a cooler. Says 180°F but after seeing the white plastic valves ill keep looking. An all metal gear pump would be best but trying to keep the price down.. Thank you for the sacrifice and the time.

Please do not discount the use of a glue like Gorilla glue. I have used this glue for laminates and have never been disappointed. It will foam out with squeeze out, but can be cut off with a sharp chisel or other type of cutter when cured.

If all you can find for fasteners at hardware store are sheetrock screws, go somewhere else. Sheetrock screws are for hanging sheetrock and have zero place in woodworking operations, like airframe or cabinet construction. Why? Because they will snap (break) and be unacceptable.

I have no plans to build an aircraft frame in this life, but ONE thing I learned many decades ago, never expect an end grain glue joint to last under any form of stress. Try to engineer a tongue and groove joint, with a form of gussets if possible.

Couple questions. 1. Why not use the flexible hosing in the entire aircraft for ease of installation, plus stronger than nylon? 2. Would it not be of the upmost importance to run the lines in such a way as to protect them from any possible snagging that may occur from, grass, rocks, or birds? For example: running them aft along the struts to protect from forward damage, not under or in front. Or Running them inside the aircraft as soon as possible vs running them under the aircraft? Does anyone have experience in trying to mitigate the potential issues that may arise with poor placement?
